Amazing Grace Guitar Edition, (to the tune of Amazing Grace)

Amazing Grace, How Sweet the sound,
That shocked a guy like me
My guitar students bought me a guitar
As amazing as it can be.

It is a Martin, king of guitars
It’s more than I deserve
I’m humbled with, these two guys
And how much they have served.

And when I play that sweet guitar
I think Amazing Grace
I’m awed by the generous gift I have
In it is Jesus’ face.

For we are a world that is out of tune
With discord in all we see.
And God reached down through Jesus Christ
And gave us melody.

He tuned this world upon the cross
His blood has made us pure
It is a gift we don’t deserve
But our place in heaven secure

So as I play for years and years.
I’ll treasure my student’s gift
I’m humbled by their Christ like hearts
It gives my soul a lift

So let us give as they did give
With glad and joyful hearts.
And let’s receive the gifts we get
With the humility God imparts.

Amazing Grace how sweet the sound
Taught me humility
It’s so much more than I deserve
But will cherish it eternally.
